History of The Pink Elephant & Whom You Support

The Pink Elephant Thrift Shop opened for business in 1964 with our club becoming the sole owner and operator in 1974.

The shop is staffed entirely by the unpaid volunteers who are members of the Woman’s Club of Springfield, Inc.

All profits are used for philanthropic projects such as these recent and continuing contributions:

  • College scholarship for a high-achieving local young lady
