History of The Pink Elephant & Whom You Support The Pink Elephant Thrift Shop opened for business in 1964 with our club becoming the sole owner and operator in 1974. The shop is staffed entirely by the unpaid volunteers who are members of the Woman’s Club of Springfield, Inc.
