The Annual Woman’s Club of Springfield is offering a Scholarship for $3000 that shall be awarded to a young woman graduating from John R. Lewis HS, Springfield, Virginia, and enrolling in a post-secondary education program for the academic year, 2024 – 2025.  Post-secondary education programs include colleges and trade schools. The scholarship is based on need, academic achievement, community service, and participation in extra-curricular activities. 

The application is available through Carla Shaw at the Career Center at Lewis High School.

The deadline for submitting the scholarship application is April 26th.  Finalists will be notified by May 3rd. The WCS Education Committee will interview the finalists the week of May 6th. Following the interviews, the winner will be notified. The scholarship recipient and her family and counselors will be invited and asked to attend the Woman’s Club Annual Scholarship and Awards Dinner on June 11th, 6:00 pm at Prince of Peace Luterhan Church.
